During the past two days I have been in Suomen Turku with the Eva Lingon crew shooting our next music video.

It has been two very long days in good company with good results, the video is very unknown/evil/white sheets/Bill Murray-themed hosted by Mangoo as “The Fuzzbusters” to their song called Deathmint – it’s the first single from their upcoming second album.

I don’t have an exact release date for this video, but I bet it’ll be a while before the video hits Youtube since the thing will be powered by a great deal of special effects and I believe it’s gonna take a while to get this thing sorted out at the editing dorms – but hey, it’s gonna be worth waiting for.

Anyhow, Niklas Laurin, our grip and assistant in everything took a great deal of still frames during the two Turku days, so have a peek folks – Eva Lingon in Suomen Turku making Mangoo‘s brand new video!

Note: We shot a great deal of the video in Piikkiö at a barnyard, over there we found quite a lot of “stuff” to add to our sets. So while we were snooping around the props Rickard “Pickles” Dahllund, the voice of Mangoo, taught me that there is nothing more awesome in the world than a Honda Monkey from the 70′s (to wich Igor Del Toro, bass master of Mangoo, responed “If you say so..”) – take notes folks.

And now you will be able to see one of these in the video once it’s finished – cause we actually found one of those bikes at the barnyard. You should have seen Pickles eyes when he saw the Honda Monkey. Priceless. “This has to be in the video!”.

Well, now it’s official, the next music video I’m directing is for the band called FIREAL to their awesome rocking hit tune called “Breathe”. The video will be produced by Eva Lingon Ltd. Oy Ab and we are shooting this thing in Helsinki next week.

The video will be directed by Tage, shot by Rasmus Tåg, gaffered by Anders Lönnfeldt with some powering help from the well experienced light master Toffe Svenn. It’s gonna be a blast.

And you know what, the song “Breathe” is co-written by Max Martin, the dude who has written like every single pop song in the world, so that’s kinda nice!

Fireal, fronted by the charismatic Caleb Hydra, was founded in 2009. The band released their first record a few months ago called “The Dark Side”.

Check out their first video to the song called Halo - it was shot during the filming of the Finnish film called “Harjunpää ja Pahan Pappi” directed by Olli Saarela. The song was a part of the original soundtrack to the movie.. Have a go. Check out the boys in action..

We have been editing the new Cajunga video, to their next single “Baby alright”, for a few days now and it’s going quite well – I think we have a first version at hand, exciting, now it’s time to rethink things and try out several versions..

I don’t have an exact date for the premiere yet, but I’ll let you know as soon as I get the facts. And while we are waiting for the showdown on Youtube I’ll let you in on a small teaser from the editing dorms. Enjoy.

// Tage – Baby!

It’s in the open, it’s official, yes it is. The next music video that I will direct is for the epic-Hans-Zimmer-metal-heads called Brymir.

The guys have recently released their debut album called “Breathe fire to the sun” (Spinefarm Records), together with Ramedus and a bunch of other heroes we are shooting their first music video during next week.

The song is called Retribution if you wanna look into it, found everywhere, you just have to Brymir yourself on the webby!

Tonight we held our fourth production meeting with the boys and things are now starting to look awesome. Everything seems to be in order for an epic video shoot in Helsinki and Porvoo during two heavy days in the beginning of next week. And yes, I can assure you guys, this time we have something extra ordinary in store for you, but more on that later..

The video will be directed by Tage, shot by Rasmus Tåg, produced by Spinefarm Records and Eva Lingon.

So, today we pulled off the second round of makin’ the BUU-klubben music video to their awesome song called BUU-klubbssången, sweet. We collected shots for about 12 hours straight today, at 7 different locations, nice.

And the weather baby, yes the weather was cookin’, I mean, it was hella hot. Can’t believe this shit, the first day of June and we had Ramedus’ iPhone showing 27 degrees celsius – unbelievable I tell you.

What I noticed today was that all of us should hang with one of these BUU-creatures every now and then, it’s a social disco, everyone completely loves him – loads of people, young and old, came up to the BUU-man goin’ “Can I please touch him, please?”.

The first leg of our two-day music video shoot with BUU-klubben is now canned and ready. The main focus of today was a bunch of stop-motion sequences needed for the video, looked kinda lol..

Tomorrow we’ll head to town to shoot at around 5 or 6 different locations in Helsinki, gonna be a long day folks – filled with stuffed animals, kids and hot dogs! Anywho, here is a shot from this evening..

// Tage – lookin’ forward to day 2 with the BUU!

This upcoming Sunday we are finally shooting the next Cajunga music video to their forthcoming single called “You’re alright”. We accidentally hit some bumps on the road a few weeks back with this project, having to postpone the shoot and so forth, but now we are all set again – time to shoot the thing 2.0!

And yes, today we made at least 5 different stops around Helsinki to pick up all sorts of stuff we need for our shoot in Turku on Sunday. As you can see, the pic above speaks for itself right?

The really hefty thing about this afternoon is that we bought ourselves a roll of Q-Max 201 F/M Full CT Blue filters from the lovely Valofirma – awesome, I bet you already got several of those at home so we’re not that fancy, but still…

Not gonna tell you guys what the video/story is about just yet, but I can assure you that it’s gonna be a rather genuine piece of work, well, not quite what you’re gonna expect – very The Cajunga alright. Gonna be lol. Gonna be awesome!

And yes, this is interesting, we stopped by P.Mutasen Elokuvakonepaja this afternoon to rent some brand new lenses, we are gonna shoot this video with the Carl Zeiss CP.2 50mm and 21mm lenses. We tried them out today and the results were really good (see pic above) – great lenses. Gonna be swell to see what they can do on the Sunday set, magic I bet, hope for the best!

Well, today we have canned the Succémorgon short commercial TV-spot. We shot the thing at one of many YLE studios in Pasila, Helsinki. And here you go, a few snaps from our day with the Succé-crew!

First things first, we had a really nice script to work with this afternoon, written by the genious minds of the Succémorgon team. A few kinda difficult things to deal with, ofcourse,  but I really believe that we nailed it – even the dog shots.

I bet you’ll find the finalized piece awesome as soon as we’ll get it up n’ running on the mighty web.

And for those of you who don’t know what Succémorgon is, well, it’s a radio show that airs every morning at Radio X3M hosted by the fantabulous Janne Grönroos, the infamous Isa Mårtenson as well as the awesome Ted “fucking” Forsström.

Together with Ramedus, Anders Lönnfeldt, Niklas Laurin, Sara Dahlback and a bunch of other hipsters we have now put together a short commercial spot for the show, so, now you know!

I believe this thing will be available to your lovely eyes in a few days/weeks, don’t have the exact release date just yet.. I’ll be sure notify you when it’s on YouTube.
