It’s time for a small journal from my time in Oslo checking out the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Follow me among sparks, moments, discoteque, eurovision tunes and a serious amount of Snapple feasting! Sounds like I’m about to scribble down a whole novel.. Jeez.

Ever since I worked as a camera assistant at the 2007 version of the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki I’ve felt some big heartbeats for this thing, and that’s why I went to Oslo, I don’t know, it seemed like you wanted to know. Moving on right.. Yes.

Last year when the Rybak boy violined his way to victory I knew that I was going to Oslo, and here I am, was, whatever, checking out the first semifinal of this year’s version of the Song Show.
Finland’s entry, Kuunkuiskaajat, was supposed to make it to the finals. I can’t grasp the fact that they didn’t make it. I even screamed out loud “Suomi Perkele!!” when they were announcing the 10 songs which made it to the finals, and still no Finland. They gave the audience a very very good show and people went crazy.. But still no final. Jesus Christ.
Even the Norwegian “Iltalehti” called Dagbladet had the Finnish girls printed on the first page. People really believed in these chicks. But no.

But anyway, the show was awesome. And hey, even I got to be on the telly!! Right after the Russian song my face showed itself on the screens of Europe when I was cheering like a monkey on steroids. Nice!
Oslo was a great city. Norway was a great country. What else can I say. Maybe it was such a great city since they had Snapple and 7eleven. And they had loads and loads of different Snapples! Today was a very important day for all of the world’s inhabitants, yes it was, the tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo were released! And yes, the Tage got 2 of them. Two tickets to the first semi-final in the Telenor Arena just outside of Oslo.

Oh, happy day, the only thing remaining now is to purchase some tickets for the flight to Oslo and of course the booking of a hotel, but as for now, it doesn’t matter, I’ve got the mothafuckin’ tickets to the show..

And why did you not get tix for the finals? (you seemed to ask). Cause the Finnish contestants Kuunkuiskaajat will attend the first semi-final, and if they don’t get to the finals I would be very nolo. Cause I want to wave the Finnish flag in the audience singing “Mä laulan paska päivä…”, or however the lyrics go..
