The great gig was held on the second of October at Nosturi in Helsinki, the warm-up acts Amoral and Before the Dawn were also great bands. I earlier finished the Amoral pics but I still have the Before the Dawn shots to attend to. Those are for later.. It was my first time seeing Amorphis live, and let me tell ya, they were awesome! And that is not all, I only saw about 6 songs, and then I had to leave, and that bugs me to this very day. Why did I have to leave? Keep reading cockface, and since you are not probably reading at all, I can write whatever I want, I can call you a double-time wanker. So, there you go!

Since it was such a big gig I was only allowed to shoot the band during the first three songs, and after that I tried to watch to concert from the back row, but there were so many people hanging around so I couldn’t fit my small body among them. Basterds. The place was big-time jam-packed. I had to check out the band from a screen! A fucking screen. And that sucked big time, so I took mitt pick och pack and left. Jeez.

Maybe that was a small price to pay since I got to enjoy the first part of the show from e very near perspective!

My good friend R.Tåg told me that those who have taken shots of an Amorphis-show has got a certain Rock Credibility.. Have I got it now, do I have Rock cred? It sure does not feel that way, haha. I would like to have some rock cred, if you please. R.Tåg, what is rock credibilty? How does it feel? I think I just about now got it! Yes! Feels great!

The new camera is pulling through, love the full frame thingy! It took my three evenings to get the pics up and running. I got about 700 shots from the show of which about a 100 were cool, and I chose 34 of them to the editing process, and now you can view them all on my deviantart page on the following link ——->>>>

My top 4 I put in the “from stage to page” folder on this site… It’s kinda sad that all of the pics are focused on Ari Koivunen, the lead singer guy of the band, but what can you do..? I only got to shoot during the three first songs, so I lost my focus and didn’t have time to focus my lens at my best on all of the guys – maybe next time, of which I hope there will be many! I loved shooting these guys.. Great Show! Great Music! Cool Dudes! What else can you possibly need? Ladies..? Perhaps..

It was also the first time I got to try out my new camera (5d mark2) at a concert. It was alot slower than my 40D, but the pics came out much better, I think.  In a few weeks or so I will upload all the shots from this evening to my deviantart page (you’ll find it from “links”) and the top 5 to this site!

As for the concerts I can tell you, my God! Amorphis sure are a great live act! And the lead singer’s dreadlocks are unbelievable, just wait for some shots and you’ll see what I’m talking about.  Amoral was also really great!

I’m very excited this October afternoon. I have now released my new website with loads of updates since the last page. Here you’ll find a lot of new shots, and even 2 music videos. The design, logo and tagline has even changed. Now I got the “many-many-levels-working” awesome tagline Shooting for the Stars. Hope you enjoy at as much as I do.

The design for my new page is done by fellow friend Matias Nystedt and the coding is done by the utterly professional Mats Tuovinen. Have a peek at my site and tell me what you think. If you’re as excited as I am, over something, well give me a ring and we shall work together. Take some shots of you sitting in a cafe drinking yoghurt – or whatever! Maybe you have a band, maybe you want some nice shots of your show, maybe you need new promo shots, maybe, maybe. Lots of fuckin’ maybe’s!

Nowadays the site also contains very greatly sorted and “foldered” photos, so that you can easily browse through my shit and perhaps post it on Facebook, I even had that possibility made possible. Yeah! The thing that excites me even more is that I’m going to Nosturi tonight to take some cool shots of Amorphis, Before the Dawn and Amoral! That is going to be an awesome show!

And as you see, I have even started blogging, made my site into a blog, how weird is that? You tell me. I’ll try to update my blog every once in a while so that you who are interested can follow me shooting the stars.. See what I did there? Probably not. Ironic? I will not blog about Gucci or Prada, unless Mr.Gucci himself wants new promo shots of his dog. I will blog about photography, music, movies, videos, assholes,various gigs (my own work and other work) and cameras.

So, I won’t keep you anymore, though I highly doubt that anyone of you is reading anymore, so I’ll go ahead and use the f-word now. Fuck.
