I’m hangin’ back in Wasa for a week or so focusing on shooting new stuff for the film about Sturm und Drang once again – it’s been some months since I shot my last frame, but now I’m back in the game again, feels great.

Today my focus was to get new interviews with André Linman. Had a great time and we really nailed some nice shit. Here you go, a shot from today’s session at their rehearsal camp – André in action.

I take it you Sturm fans already saw the awesome news on their facebook site, the third record is nearly finished – swell news! Don’t know any release date for the first single yet, but I promise you it’s gonna be a good one alright. Definitely worth the wait!

Tomorrow I’m in for more of the Sturm, wish me luck!

// Tage – Sturm Tage

So, today I attended the Musik & Talang 2011 forum in Wasa at Hotel Central, it was a very pleasant experience and my workshop together with Lasse Norrgård went great. And hey, there were acctually several attendees at our “music video production” workshop – lovely!

I checked out a few of the other workshops aswell, and let me tell you, these occations were jam-packed with eager music indusrty faces, Musik och Talang 2011 – 10 points!

My Sturm und Drang documentary film task continued today as I checked in on André Linman in a vast garage in the middle of somewhere, together with a rock-engineer the boys were recording some ideas for the upcoming third disc from Sturm und Drang.

// Tage – Vår tid!

Well today we continued the editing of our upcoming music video “Artister för tolerans och öppenhet – Vår tid, vårt land”. And this fine Sunday we actually reached the end of the song, yes, now we have put together the first “whole” version of the video from where we’ll continue tomorrow…

Yes, loads of work still to be done, but it feels promising and great now that we have the first canned version. Now it’s time to start sharpening the cuts, figuring out what’s what on the editing board and finally choose the correct shots for the correct moments to get the right feeling streamed to your face, not to forget, we still have loads of color correcting to do.

…and from what I’ve heard, the great Andy Maplefield is coming in tomorrow to help us out a bit – and I bet those moments will be captured, framed and published. So then you’ll get a bit of wildfire shots instead of screenshots, yes, suite you well?

Yes, tomorrow we’ll hardcore continue with the editing – the video will premiere on the 5th of April 2011!

// Tage – Vårt land day 2

During the last couple of weeks/days we have been working on a brand new music video, unfortunately the secrecy around this project has been all over the place so this is my first report on the project. So, here goes chaps – out in the open.

Together with Rasmus Tåg and Anders Lönnfeldt we have all been working with the artist elite of Svenskfinland, featuring guys n’ gals such as Geir Rönning, Elin Blom, André Linman, Paradise Oskar, Fredrik Furu, Nina Lassander, Frida Andersson, Ville Pusa, Redrama and Krista Siegfrids.

Think of it as a “Band Aid / We Are The World” kinda thing, a song/video for Svenskfinland. A project for the good – it’s all good!

So, these last couple of days we spent in two different studios in Helsinki as well as in Borgå City, recording the video and and the song simultaneously. So the video will have this very making of/good times/documentary/awesome touch to it.

The song is called “Vår tid – Vårt land” and the artists go by the name of “Artister för tolerans och öppenhet”. So, here you go, a couple of shots from our days makin’ the video.

So, loads of good times in the studio, and the editing will kick off first thing tomorrow. The video will premiere on the 5th of April 2011, it’ll also be released on DVD on the 11th of April 2011.

The song “Vår tid – Vårt land” is written Patric Sarin, Niklas Rosström, Pasi Hiihtola and Lasse “Redrama” Mellberg. It is produced by Niklas Nylund and Patric Sarin. As soon as everything is finished, the song will be available for free download and the video will be up on YouTube.

// Tage – The Sturm Shooter

The week is almost reaching it’s very end. The Tage has spent his whole week in Wasa working at the Sveng.com offices with the film about Sturm und Drang. Been arranging, checking and browsing through about 4 years of footage from the on-going Sturm era, that’s a lotta stuff, as well as shooting some new moving frames with Alex and André – gonna be a great film, that’s a promise!

Last night was spent at the Camp dé Stürm, and here is a shared memory for you – the Linman in his element!

So, been a flashy fast super forward week with loads of events, happenings and bing bangs. And what’s new with the Sturm und Drang story, well, the boys are rehearsing, playing new tunes, bonding, gathering forces and powers, figuring stuff out really, and very soon I believe the boys will be ready to make the third record, gonna be a good one, I can assure you that!
