The Eurovision Journey!

Well yes!

It’s time for a small journal from my time in Oslo checking out the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Follow me among sparks, moments, discoteque, eurovision tunes and a serious amount of Snapple feasting! Sounds like I’m about to scribble down a whole novel.. Jeez.

( Outside the Telenor Arena in Oslo )
Ever since I worked as a camera assistant at the 2007 version of the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki I’ve felt some big heartbeats for this thing, and that’s why I went to Oslo, I don’t know, it seemed like you wanted to know. Moving on right.. Yes.
( Everyone loves a wing pic )
Last year when the Rybak boy violined his way to victory I knew that I was going to Oslo, and here I am, was, whatever, checking out the first semifinal of this year’s version of the Song Show.
Finland’s entry, Kuunkuiskaajat, was supposed to make it to the finals. I can’t grasp the fact that they didn’t make it. I even screamed out loud “Suomi Perkele!!” when they were announcing the 10 songs which made it to the finals, and still no Finland. They gave the audience a very very good show and people went crazy.. But still no final. Jesus Christ.
Even the NorwegianIltalehti” called Dagbladet had the Finnish girls printed on the first page. People really believed in these chicks. But no.
( The Norwegian Iltalehti believed in Finland )
But anyway, the show was awesome. And hey, even I got to be on the telly!! Right after the Russian song my face showed itself on the screens of Europe when I was cheering like a monkey on steroids. Nice!
Oslo was a great city. Norway was a great country. What else can I say. Maybe it was such a great city since they had Snapple and 7eleven. And they had loads and loads of different Snapples! Check me out with a Blushing Snapple Apple.. God, I love Snapple. Should name my future kids Mango Madness and Kuddling Kiwi!
( Snapple )
..And that’s it from Tage in Oslo. I had fun, loads of fun. I will finish up with some “Finlandssvensk humor”, just add a “T”.
( Vittus Apotek? )
Share the moment people! Check out the second semifinal tomorrow and the grande finale on Saturday! I’ll say it now, Germany is gonna win!

  1. I saw you after the Finnish song ended, too!
Russia, Belarus and Albania shouldn’t have qualified for the finals, though. I couldn’t wait for their performance to end. Don’t know how it was in the Arena, but I could hear all the pitch from the TV.
Estonia had a weird song…but I kinda liked it, it should’ve been on the finals. On the other hand Macedonia really pissed me off with their tune. Claiming that they are a real country with a real language, they should have come up with something original…but wait, they don’t have any of that. I could understand every single word, they were basically singing in old bg…and the music was shitty.

  2. You saw me at the ending of the Finnish entry? What.. Nice. Gotta check it out as soon as the DVD arrives to the store..! :)
Albania had a great song, and the Estonian entry was crap. :) And yes, the Macedonian song was kinda shitty, I agree..

But who is gonna win, where is the Tage supposed to travel next year? Berlin?

  3. lätt att du borde svänga förbi göteborg när du ändå är här nere i dom mer södra trakterna av norden! :O

  4. I think Moldova had one of the best songs, so I’m keeping thumbs up for them, but we’ll have to wait and see the second semi-final. Although I already kinda know which songs are going on finals. By the way, what’s with all the commercializing of Azerbaijan’s entry – Safura and her “Tear Drops”. So what if she was GOING TO drown on the set of the video…
As for Bg, I don’t think we’ll qualify having in mind that we’re on the same semi-final as Azerbaijan, Germany, Ireland, Sweden and Turkey…

  5. Va försökt si om ja sku ha sitt dig i publiken men du gömde dig säkert för kamerorna :P

  6. Lumi —>> De sku ha vari en mästerlig idé, men tyvärr e ja back in Helsinki redan.. De va en kvikk Nörge visit.. :) Kanske Sverige vinner så blir de Sthlm nästa år.. Men knappast vinner hon.. :)

Stef —>>> I haven’t read or heard anything about the Azerbaijan artist :( .. Drown on the video set? haha.. :) What? Germany is not in the second semi, they are a straight to finals country, and they’re gonna win.. If not Moldavia brings home the trophy.. Really looking forward to the final! Good luck with Miro!

Anders —>>> Ja va nog i bild efter Rysslands bidrag! :)
