So yes.. This is a first..
I got a call a few days ago from a dear friend of mine, a girl with the tag Jannica Lindberg, she was in a small haste, she needed pics for some applying stuff to a couple of promotion companies called BSG promotions and MNG promotions.. “I need shots now!” she seemed to say, but not in an angry kind of way, more of a somekind of way.. Bottomline – we took some shots today and here I present to you some of the good ones..
The one to your right is shot with the 85mm 1.8 lens in Helsinki at Hotel Marski in the center of our lovely town. We kindly asked the ladies in the reception if they were kind enough to let us shoot some promos of the girl to your right, and I can’t believe how nice the fine people at Marski were “ei kai siinä mitään ongelmia” they said. Thanks Marski. In my opinion the shot kinda looks like a Hardcore JC (swedish clothing company) advertisement. I’m satisfied.
And since I very very seldom take pics of, how shall I put it, well models.. I have quite a little amount of experience, so I think that for a first-timer it looks quite good. Jannica was a very cooperative model and had lots of ideas, so she was very easy to work with, many big thanks to her!
And hence we come to the second shot, below you can see another version of a promotional girl pic, I sound like a narrator for some animal show right, God.. Anyway, have a peek at the next one..

The shot above is shot in front of the Grand Casino, we took this one during the “blue hour” so I’m very happy with the colors.. She looks natural yet hip n’ cool.. Hopefully she will get some jobs with the help of these shots – then I’d be a happy helper! And moving on to another one from this fine afternoon..
The one to your right is kinda Ellos, you probably don’t know what I mean by that, but at least I mean something, right..? That last sentence made no sense what so ever..
I very much like the expression in her body and face in this one, it’s kinda cheezy but yet a working shot that gives me a certain fashonista (whatever that means) feeling.. It’s shot with the 85mm and with an ISO speed of 1250, so the “cornyness” will show in a fullblown mega resolution shot, but it works fine on the web.. I like the background alot – Yes! Finally very happy with something! It’s shot in front of the cinema called Finnkino in the center of Helsinki.
And what more can I tell you of this shot… Aah, nothing really, try it out and let me know by commenting if you have some spectacular ideas on how to pose models if I get to shoot other girls or guys in the future – I had a very good time, and as always, I learned stuff – and that’s always great – learning! There’s no better way to learn stuff, than to learn it.. I said that.
And moving on to the last one, I have about 10-15 shots of Jannica (not to be mixed with J.Lindeberg) but I’ll just post 4 of them, and perhaps sometime in the future if I get some satisfying feedback on these I’ll hit you with the rest of the shots, anyway, check out the last one, if you’re not in a hurry that is.. It’s shot in the Ostoskeskus called Kamppi, and what is an Ostoskeskus? KVG.. (Kato Vittu Googlesta)..

Aww, Jannica looks awesome, she’s pretty.
I like the shots themselves, also. The third one looks like it’s an early Spring already and the colors are super fresh in my opinion!
It’s you’r first time? Really? It worked out quite well.
And for the posing thing. Most of the “priceless” photos are taken in a random moment, when the model doesn’t know he/she’s being captured…
But if you both have ideas, it seems like this here works also.
And btw, on the “blue hour” shot…does the commune clean your streets (like pouring salt or whatever) or is the snow really less than here? If you’re not on the street, you can’t walk here. Fucking snow’s all over the place >.<

You like the shots, thanks! Awesome.. Technically it’s my first time for this purpose, I have shot like artists and stuff, but not for the same purpose, with a a different client and different goals.. But I liked doing this, hopefully I’ll get some more opportunities in tha future..
The commune sure cleans the streets from snow, and I’m very thankful for that, cause I really don’t like snow, the wait for the summer seems to be endless..
