Now these are the news that I have waiting to publish, and I couldn’t do it before the thing was hanging in the windows!
Some of my pics of the awesome band So Long Sisters has now become an exhibition at a make-up/hairdresser’s house in Vaasa called Artistica. Why? (you seemed to ask), let me explain. Back in May 2009 Stefan from Artistica called me up and told me that this autumn a new shampoo is premiering, a product called Rock-a-holic. He wanted his 6 windows in the beauty salon to be filled with rock pics! Hell yes, I responded. It’s a collection of 18 different pics puzzled together to look like 6 band memebers in 6 different windows! And since there are 6 girls in So Long Sisters, it fit like a glove!
The shots are taken at two different gigs during the summer of 2009, one in Seinäjoki (Rytmikorjaamo) and one in Kristiinankaupunki (Hotel Kristina). I have revealed this info to very few people and it’s really funny now that the pics are hangin’ in the windows.
So, if you’re in Vaasa or planning to visit Vaasa in a near future (before next year, the pics will probably be on display until christmas), please do swing by Artistica at the following adress – Hovioikeidenpuistikko 20 – and have a peek in the windows. At the bottom of this piece I’ll post some shots of how it looks. Excuse me for the harsh reflections on the “location-shots”, should have taken the shots in the middle of the night. But hey, I’m only a man.
