Right. Here you go. The official Tage eurovision song contest fuzz!
So, tonight, the day has finally arrived. I’m talking about the eurovision song contest. The finals. Anyone? No. Well, I don’t give a rats ass weather you care or not, I love it, and right here you can scrobble-scrabble through my thoughts on this evenings big and large and megalomaniac grande fucking finalé! Thoughts and trash talk about what’s on our eager eurovision schedule tonight!
And why am I giving you organized fuzz on this matter, well, cause of the fact that I went to Oslo to check out the first semi-final earlier this week, so I’m kinda really deep into this thing, I have to share you some shallow thoughts on the starting line up, or at least those songs and artists who need mentioning..!
Further down you can spot my official top 10 selection, but before that we shall turn our attention so some songs. Starting off with Norway, I think, no way. See, I’m kinda quick in giving critique?
One of my favourites for this years finals has gotta be the Moldova show, the saxophone thingy, the lady with the star trekky blue Leonardo ninja-turtley face. You know? Yes you do. I love the song, the act and the future violin. Catchy tune, great voices and a spectacular show. Expect greatness! My personal favourite.
And then, Cyprus, Cyprus the vyprus? No? Not official Con Air reference… Anywho, The Jared Leto guy. Lovely performance from him, but his band is kinda crap, very much like crap on a stick, but the song works, at least for the western parts of Europe. However, the entry is gonna place itself in the very bottom of the field. But I like it!
Serbia then, what’s up with his hair due? Jesus Christ. The song is kinda crappy although quite good. What do I mean? Well, let me give you an input. I don’t think it would very appropriate if the British guys would sing “London, London” or if the Finnish blondes would have gone berserk on a phrase like “Helsinki, Helsinki”. You get the point. It’s very much like Akon and dr. Dre always having to tell us what year it is in the beginning of every fucking song. 2010 yo. Jesus.
Gerogia, love the girl’s voice, love the song, love it!
Turkey is participating with a great song this year. It’s the only rock n’ rolly show that has worked so far this year. The song is great, the video is crap. But I think their stage performance will lead them to very high standings! Is it called standings? Well, you probably don’t know what I mean. Or do you? Anyway, moving on, the Russian song is probably the crappiest song of them all after the Slovenian entry, or was it Slovenia? The innocent girl with the folky dress who performed with Bon Jovi? That was like two pieces of crap on the stick of hell. But the Russian song is really fucked up. Learn some pronunciation why don’t you. Laaaaast aaan fargatteeeeen? What does it all mean..? But like every year before, it makes no difference what the Russians give us, it always ends up on the top 5.
I love the Danish entry. Cool song. Cool performance. Total lack of chemistry between the vocalists, that’s why it won’t get a good placing. Who is holding hands on the eurovision stage? C’mon. There are smarter ways to show love. Or is there? Yes. And the Israel entry. I know it will conquer a big part of Europe, but I don’t like the song. Dunno what it is. Boring perhaps, yes, that’s the word. Boring.
And the winner, who’s gonna win. Well, quite easy. Germany is gonna win. Lena has clearly got the best song, it remains to be seen how she acts on the stage. But if she comes through, she is gonna win this thing quite easily. And then I get to go to Berlin next year..! So, I’m gonna end this eurovision fuzz by posting you the winner video! Enjoy!

First…I still can’t believe it Russia made it to the finals. That’s the crappiest song in this contest, seriously! Who votes for them?
Second, I don’t think Milan Stankovic (Serbia) repeated that “Beograd” thing just to show off. I mean, as far as I understand it (cause the languages are kind of similar and some words are easy to catch). It’s about a girl that he has a thing for “Hug me, kiss me. Oh, but you’re so naughty, you have no shame, I bet you live in Belgrade” The lyrics are shit, but what I like in the song is that it actually has Balkan music in it. If you walk into a tavern here, this is probably what you’ll hear. But that’s about it, I don’t like it in general.
Cyprus had a great song “Tell me about your feelings, tell me about your stories, come on closer, look into my eyes and make immortal with a kiss”. A bit trivial, but the melody is quite catchy and that guy’s voice doesn’t sound European at all! I like it.
Georgia…I honestly laughed, while watching. It was way over the top for me. I felt like the girl was going to explode on that stage
The Denmark entry was like stolen from some old ABBA tune…it wasn’t badly performed, but it wasn’t original at all!
I liked Romania…I wasn’t jumping out of my chair, but it was more than OK. That opera voice and the double piano – it was nice.
Israel…it might have been boring for you, it was annoying for me. Not the song itself, but the language. All the khghgj, like the guy was choking on something was just horrible and it bugged me. But I have to give it up to the country for choosing to sing in their language.
Azerbaijan were okay. I don’t really like Safura, there’s too much commercial going on there, but the performance was cool. The song was stupid, but catchy!
Turkey really rocked the arena! I was expecting something really awful like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTXvkWqQas8 , but no, they were good! Haha, I guess I just don’t like Turks in general!
And Germany have an AWESOME song. I love Lena’s accent! I hope it wins, too!

Your thoughts on the Georgian entry hits the spot! It really feels like the lady is about to explode, and I like it. Powerful chick!
The video, haha, kinda annoying yes.. But still cool..!
And yes, your comment was and is probably the longest comment to any blog in the history of mankind, soon, your comments are longer than my inserts, how ironic is that?
Let us hope for the best tonight, let us hope for Germany and Moldova..!
